Grow Your Own, Nevada! Soil Building for Better Plant Health

The University of Nevada, Reno Extension is offering eight “Grow Your Own, Nevada!” free online classes in 2023. These classes are offered statewide to help Nevadans who want to get on a path to more sustainable, local, healthy living by growing and preserving more of their own food.
SOIL BUILDING FOR BETTER PLANT HEALTH: Tuesday, May 23rd from 6pm-8pm
A healthy garden begins with healthy soil. But, what is healthy soil? And, how do we build it? In this session, you will learn the five principles of soil building. By applying these five principles, you will notice your soil is better able to hold water and nutrients.
