Free EPA Webinar – Managing Fungal Diseases in Ornamental Plants

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is holding a free, public webinar on Tuesday, May 7 which will cover common fungal diseases of ornamental plants and learn how to manage and prevent them. Earn 1.5 General Pesticide Applicator CEU’s.

·     Learn about the origin and impact of fungal diseases in ornamental plant production, including what causes them to spread within plant production facilities;

·     Learn how to identify common fungal diseases;

·     Discuss ways to remove fungal pathogens from soil using sterilization and pasteurization; and 

·     Learn about integrated pest management strategies that have been developed to manage fungal plant diseases.
